Meet Dr. Ghalib Wahidi

Dr. Wahidi is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician. However, he is broadly experienced in the fields of Critical Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine, enabling him to expertly manage a wide array of both acute and nonacute medical conditions.
Dr. Wahidi received his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology from the University of California, Davis, and his Master’s Degree in Physiology from Finch University of Health Sciences in Chicago. He attended The Chicago Medical School in the “Windy” city and came to the not-so-windy Orange County for his residency in the early 2000s. He finished his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange.

In addition to the practice of medicine, Dr. Wahidi is a firm believer in helping train the next generation of healers. He has held the distinction of Associate Professor of Medicine affiliated with the Western University of Health Science in Pomona. However, his teaching goes as far back as being a teaching assistant at UC Davis and teaching medical physiology as a medical student himself.

Dr. Wahidi also holds dear the idea that each patient is an individual with individual needs and that one size does not fit all. In that regard, Dr. Wahidi joined and has been the medical director and partner at AMADA Concierge Care in San Clemente.
Dr. Wahidi developed personalized and customized treatment protocols to better fit the individual needs of each patient and delivered that care to his patients in their own homes leading to a quick recovery, reduced infection rates, and very pleased patients.

On a personal note, Dr. Wahidi’s family moved to the United States from a war-torn country when he was a young man. Dr. Wahidi and his family have never forgotten the kindness and the generosity of the great people of his new country and wanted a career that would allow him to give back; He is the first of many proud physicians, engineers and businessmen, and women who his family has given back to their new country. He derives great joy in serving others, and by pursuing a career in medicine, he now enjoys the daily opportunity to help his people that are in need.

Dr. Wahidi’s philosophy in healthcare has been shaped and influenced by the breadth of his personal and professional experiences. He believes that the best care for a patient is to never need it in the first place. He champions preventative care, patient engagement, physician availability, and the delivery of personalized care in an environment of respect and dignity.

In his personal time, Dr. Wahidi enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and the outdoors with his little man. He is teaching him snowboarding currently and hopes to catch a non-mackerel fish or two with him soon.
